About Money Making Apps

One page to answer a simple question: which apps actually pay — and how much, honestly?

What this site is

Money Making Apps is a directory of over 100 apps and websites that pay you for things you can actually do: answering surveys, playing games, completing tasks and gigs, scanning receipts for cashback, selling stuff, freelance work, and passive income from apps that run in the background.

Every listing carries the two numbers most "make money" content hides: an honest Realistic pay line — what a typical user really earns, not the marketing headline — and the app's minimum cash-out, so you know up front how long your money is locked in before you can touch it.

Why it exists

Most money-app content is hype: screenshots of someone else's balance, "earn $500 a week" claims, and no mention that the app pays in US dollars, that cashing out takes a $20 minimum, or that it quietly stopped paying last year. This site exists to do the opposite — test what's out there, publish the real numbers, and say plainly when an app isn't worth your time.

None of these apps will replace a job, and any site that tells you otherwise is selling something. What they can do is turn spare minutes — surveys on the bus, games on the couch, receipts you'd throw away — into real, if modest, money.

How listings are chosen

If you spot an outdated pay rate or an earning app we missed, tell us — the directory gets better when readers flag things.

The honest-review videos

Many listings have a matching video review — look for the "▶ Watch our honest video review" button on a listing. Each video breaks down how the app works, what it actually pays, the catch nobody mentions, and whether it's worth your time. If an app is on this site, there's a good chance we've put it on camera and said the quiet part out loud.

How the site makes money

Money Making Apps is reader-supported. Many links on this site are referral links: if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission from the app — often a percentage of what the app pays you, or a flat bonus — at no extra cost to you. Referral programs are flagged on each listing with a 🤝 badge, and some referrals also pay you a signup bonus. We also plan to run display ads. None of this affects what we list or what we say: apps are listed because they genuinely pay, and the realistic-pay numbers stay honest whether an app has a referral program or not.
